How we helped

Eccleston & Hart

Erdington-based Eccleston & Hart has acquired and expanded its premises with support from Central Business Finance.

The firm started life as a jewellery shop in 1837 and supported the war effort in the 1930s.

It is now a polystyrene manufacturer which supplies a variety of products for the graphics and display equipment to construction including polystyrene sheets to supplying entrance logos to the Ideal Home Show exhibition.

Central Business Finance supported Eccleston and Hart's growth efforts to buy and expand its premises for £2.1m.

Dr Josh Ahmed, who purchased the company in 2018, said: "Eccleston & Hart have a proud heritage in Birmingham of manufacturing."

"I am proud that our company was part of the war efforts in the 30s and continues to stand now in the heart of the birthplace of the industrial revolution.

"Since acquiring the business, I have worked with Central Business Finance, which has enabled me to grow and future proof Ecclestons manufacturing home in Erdington."

Steve Harris, director at Central Business Finance, added: "Supporting businesses, especially manufacturing businesses to invest and grow their services through funding is always rewarding, and it's a proud legacy we have here at Central Business Finance."
